18.07.2008 - smarti® to be featured in the hit TV series Primeval 3
The highly respected U.K. television production company Impossible Pictures, which is currently in production on the third series of Primeval 3, has asked us if they can use the smarti® DIADEM unit in their series. Their characters in the series have had trouble in the past with the security of their head office so later in the series they have decided to upgrade their security system.
Primeval is a futuristic, high tech series about a scientific team and their support teams who locate 'anomalies' or holes that appear between two different time zones. Through these holes creatures from either the past or the future come through and it is the heroes job to locate them and get them back into their own worlds before the 'anomaly' closes.
The lead characters run their team from a highly advanced technological centre called The ARC. This is the hypercentre of the series and is equipped with state of the art equipment and appears in every episode. This is where the heroes are first aware of when the 'anomalies' appear and it is also where they continue to study them and make break through discoveries and continue to build new equipment in their laboratory.
It is for the ARC that the Impossible Pictures needed a new impressive security system and the new smarti® DIADEM unit was just what they were looking for.

23.06.2008 - smarti promotion in BelgradeLast week on the 19th of June Tab Systems Inc. organized a promotion of the smarti system for the Serbian security market in Belgrade. Great news! Yesterday on the 18th of June 2008 the new smarti DIADEM unit received the award for innovation from the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. This is the third time that a smarti unit received this award.

28.05.2008 - Update v6.0.0 availableA new smarti update is now available for download from our partner’s pages. We added support for recognition with the PIN code in conjunction with biometric samples, the working hours summary can now be displayed on the screen after a person is identified. We also added multi layer buttons (basically you can now define buttons which if pressed cover the screen with a new menu which can contain multiple other buttons defined by the user) and some other enhancements.

18.12.2007 - New smarti phone almost finishedWe are in the final stages of developing a totally new version of the smarti phone application, which is used for IP/Video phone and Video intercom. The new application uses Skype controls. In addition to other smarti phone users you will be able to call other Skype users, send short text massages (SMS) call mobile and stationary phones, forward calls etc. We are now testing the application and we still need to redesign the GUI but we hope that it will be ready for release soon.

29.10.2007 - IR camera in smarti®Last week we successfully ended the testing on the new smarti® prototypes. The Inbuilt IR CCTV camera and the IR light really work great...
17.10.2007 - Prototypes of the new unitWe are testing the prototypes for the new smarti unit. If the prototypes do OK in the tests we will have the new units ready in a week or two. We are not going to reveal the name of the new unit yet. For now all that we will reveal about the new unit is that it has an IR light and an IR CCTV camera inbuilt for face recognition. This feature really heightens the reliability and the security level of face recognition.

13.09.2007 - Web site updateWe updated our website. The changes were made to the first page (the smarti® introduction), we changed the text and redesigned the look. The awards are now listed at the bottom of the page, and all the features of the smarti® are presented with text and icons. We feel that this makes the introduction more user friendly and that visitors will be able to grasp what smarti® is all about quicker.

The smarti v5.0 update includes the updated help system, a few optimizations of the system and a new external application called External input responder. This is an add-on, which allows interaction between the smarti® system and external devices connected to the system, which are not used in conjunction with the biometric stage and/or the External device manager.

15.06.2007 - A new certification program for our partnersWe have decided that it is time to implement a certification program for our partners/distributors. We will have three levels of certificates the first one is the “certified smarti® expert” certificate which will be awarded to persons which complete our smarti® training process. This certificate is awarded to a person not a company and because smarti® is constantly updated it will have to be renewed each year. All our distributors will from now on be required to have at least one certified smarti® expert among their employees. This way we will be able to make sure that our distributors know everything about the smarti® there is to know, thus the end users will benefit from their knowledge and be able to take full advantage of all the smarti® features. The next two certificate levels will be awarded to our business partners who will accumulate a lot of experience with installations of the smarti® system and who will help us with the development of the smarti® system.

This means that an authorized user can record biometric patterns without the presence of the system administrator. Serial function executor tool was also upgraded to handle the delay time between function executions. The communication between external input devices and the smarti unit was improved. 16.03.2007 - European security meetings in ParisOn the 14th and 15th of March the European Security Meetings (ESM 2007) was held in Paris – France. ESM brings together security specialists and suppliers of solutions and equipment aimed at security and protection.

12.03.2007 - Revised installation guideBecause of all the new features in the last few updates we had to revise and update the installation guide. There is now only one installation guide for all three smarti® models. We have also included a quick use guide, which includes all that a first time user needs to know, to start working with the system.

19.02.2007 - Outdoor has been renamed to CastorCastor is the new name for the Outdoor unit. Castor is the second brightest star in the constellation Gemini and one of the brightest stars in the night-time sky. Although it has the Bayer designation "alpha", it is actually fainter than Beta Geminorum (Pollux). Castor and Pollux are the two "heavenly twin" stars that give the constellation Gemini (meaning "twins" in Latin) its name. Actually the name Castor refers specifically to Castor, one of the twin sons of Zeus and Leda.

Security Essen 2006 is over. It was another successful exhibition for us and we would like to thank everyone who has visited our stand. But now we are already getting ready for the next event the Slovenian forum of innovations Hevreka!06 which will be held from the 24th to the 26th of October 2006 in Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia and everybody who wants to visit us is welcome!
