Editorial

Dear readers,

The year 2006 has ended and the year 2007 has started. We hope that 2006 was a successful year for you and your business. It is incredible how time flies; we are already in the middle of January 2007. This means that we have been sending out the smarti® newsletter for a year and a half up to now. In this time the subscriber base has grown a lot as well. Please enjoy reading the first smarti® newsletter for 2007.

Help us improve the smarti®

In TAB Systems, we value your opinion and we are constantly trying to improve and upgrade the smarti®. That is why we kindly ask you to take a few minutes of your time to answer some questions about smarti®. Even if you do not own a smarti® your answers will help us bring it closer to your and/or to your customers needs.

Please follow this link to our questionnaire where you can give answers to the questions provided. We also ask you to fill in your contact details and company type so that we will be able to link different types of companies and buisiness fields with different needs.

 

smarti® update

As promised in the previous newsletter we have uploaded the smarti® version 4.5.0. All smarti® users can download the update from our partner pages. If you are a smarti® user or one of our partners and you are not yet registered at our partner pages then please do this now.

smarti® has been optimized, it now also includes an Italian GUI, and compact monthly and summary reports for time & attendance. A new logic for adding holidays, sick leave and other absences has been created as well, the days of leave left can now be defined, a log file is now written in case of DB modifications and many other useful functions have been added.

 

New suggested end user prices

With the beginning of this year we set new suggested end user prices. The new suggested end user price list should now be the same world wide. Our dealers of course have a special dealer discount, based on the contract. If you need more information about this please contact us.

 

New names for smarti® units

Since we are planning to broaden our smarti units range we have decided to change the names of the existing smarti units. You will be able to read more about this in the next newsletter.

 

Case study: One smarti® for two companies

In an office building, with many enterprises, two neighboring companies have decided that they need an access control solution. One of the two companies wanted to use the solution for time & attendance also. At the same time both companies needed to introduce some form of communication with the visitors at the entrance to their offices.

The companies wanted to use a joint solution for access control and time & attendance - smarti® with the possibility of separate event tracking and administration. Click here to read more about it!

 

Updates to our web page

We have updated and made some changes to our case studies section. In this section you will now be able to download and read new case studies about the use of smarti® in business environment, high security environment, and building/home automation. From here you will also be able to access other articles about smarti® and multimodal biometrics.
