smarti® v4.8.0 update released
We have released a new smarti version which now allows a user to self enroll automatically using the self enrolment procedure. This means that an authorized user can record biometric patterns without the presence of the system administrator. Serial function executor tool was also upgraded to handle the delay time between function executions. The communication between external input devices and the smarti® unit was improved. smarti® can now send a confirmation to the external input device that it received the sent data. It can now also process more then one answer from the same device at the same time and extract the unique identification code from the
right answer. Some other minor additions have also been implemented. Please download the smarti® v4.8.0 update from our partner pages.
Biometric enrolment on the fly
In the newest smarti® update the Self enrolment procedure was added. This procedure enables a user to self enrol automatically. The user can record biometric patterns in to the smarti® unit without the presence of the system administrator. This can be useful for new users which do not have any recorded patterns but have been granted access in advance. And for existent users which already have recorded patterns, but the patterns are either not good or already to old.
To use the self enrolment procedure the user must be authorised by the system administrator. This means that for a new user the system administrator has to create a new person enter his/hers information and assign an EIN (Enrolment Identification Number) code to the person. A user which is already enrolled only has to have an EIN code assigned by the administrator and he or she can then update his or her biometric patterns on the fly.
Revised installation guide
Because of all the new features in the v4.8.0 update we had to revise and update the installation guide which is now v1.4. For all those who are registered at our partner pages the new installation guide is already available for download.

They decided to use the smarti® system because it has the video intercom and video/IP phone features already integrated and an alarm system can be connected to it. Read the entire case study.
