Dear readers,

Here is the first smarti^® newsletter for the year 2009. We hope that you had a great beginning of the New Year and that the year 2009 will be really successful for you. With the first newsletter in the year 2009 we are beginning a new three part series of articles about the competitive advantages of the smarti^® system for access control, time and attendance and building automation. The first article of the three is for access control the other two articles will follow in successive newsletters.

New smarti^® video

We uploaded a new video of the smarti^® in action which demonstrates how fast the facial recognition works. Please find it in the Download section under smarti^® Videos.

Competitive advantages: Access control

1. Face and voice biometrics, abuse of cards, PIN codes, keys etc. Is not possible.
2. In built IR CCTV camera, records all events to discourage abuse.
3. Flexibility of the product allows you to tailor your security level, you can use only the PIN code or only biometrics for low security for medium and high security you can combine PIN + Inbuilt biometric recognition (Face, or face and voice) and you can also attach additional identification readers to the system.
4. Protocol independent you can connect practically and electronic device to the system like sensors, identification readers, alarms and other electronic devices.
5. Can be integrated into existing systems.
6. Additional free “modules” for time and attendance, building management, video intercom and IP phone, video surveillance and messaging mean that you can save money because you do not need to spend money for additional systems which would provide you with these features.
