smarti® is an IFSEC finalist for the 4th consecutive time
The finalists for this year IFSEC 2009 awards have been announced by the BSIA. Among only six finalists for best new access control product is for the fourth consecutive time a smarti® unit.
At the beginning of this year TAB Systems Inc. launched a new biometric unit for access control, time & attendance and building automation called smarti® ELECTRA. The new unit combines multimodal biometric access control based on facial and voice recognition with RFID, power over Ethernet and a myriad of other features that makes it an easy choice for user across a wide range of categories.
The new unit now received its first international acknowledgement. It has been short-listed by BSIA (British Security Industry Association) as one of six best new access control products for the IFSEC 2009 Security Industry Awards. Widely regarded as the industry's premier event, the IFSEC Security Industry Awards is both a celebration and an acknowledgement of excellence of the products and technological innovations influencing and shaping the industry and security best practice.
smarti® is to our knowledge the only product nominated for this prestigious award four times in a row. We are very proud of this nomination and the recognition of smarti® as a leader in its field.
IFSEC 2009
From the 11th till 15th of May IFSEC will be held in Birmingham, UK. We are situated in Hall 3A and our stand number is B5. We have completely redone all of our catalogues and brochures and upgraded our graphics design. But more importantly at IFSCE 2009 we will have a worldwide launch of two new smarti® units. For now I will only disclose their names the ELECTRA which has been nominated for the best new access control product and the FELIX.
smarti® on the TV screens
On Saturday 11th of April episode 3 of Primeval 3 was aired on ITV. The smarti® DIADEM unit was presented in the series for the first time. Please visit the Primeval section of our web page to learn more about the show and why smarti is featured in it.
