Dear readers,

It is time for the second newsletter of the year 2010. Through the whole of January we had almost no sunny days and lots of snowfall. But with February the sun finally came out and with the mountains covered with snow the ski season here in Slovenia is in full swing.

In TAB Systems we are already preparing for IFSEC 2010 which will be held from the 10th to the 13th of May in Birmingham, UK. We hope that you will visit us there.

New smarti® update

It has been about a month and a half since we released the 7.6.0 update and in this time we have been testing and preparing a new smarti® update. Mostly the update is made up of small improvements but the main change is in the way the user can handle and select buttons and functions in the administrative part of the software. We wanted to make this aspect easier and more user friendly. The buttons and functions are grouped into groups in all of the menus where you can select them and attach them to persons, groups, divisions, units, buttons etc. This makes administration and selection of functions and buttons much easier.

The new version also makes it easier for the user to set the order in which the functions are executed and the delay time between executions of the functions from the main application.

Benefits for the condominium owners part II

The use of the smarti® system offers many potential benefits for the Condominium development projects which are detailed below:

Lift call

When leaving the apartment the owners can use the smarti® to call the lift, thus ensuring a shorter wait time at the lift lobby.

Driver call

For owners with drivers, the smarti® could be linked to the driver call system, automatically calling the driver to be waiting in the drop off area when the owners come out of the lift.

Viewing of CCTV camera feeds

smarti® can monitor the arrival of children into the complex giving parents peace of mind. For example to confirm children arrive home from school on time, an email or SMS notification can be sent.
