Dear readers,
It has been a very busy month. We had to prepare everything for the IFSEC 2010 where we launched the new smarti® Guardeon unit. We prepared a new brochure covering the use of smarti® in multi unit buildings, where we give samples of use for high rise building projects, and updated our web page accordingly. We also prepared a new special edition of the newsletter called the smarti® Chronicles. If you have not received your edition yet please download it, you will find the link on the menu on the left. But I think that this work is already paying dividends for one we had a lot of visitors at our stand at IFSEC and let us not forget that the newly launched unit won the Best Access Control Product Award at IFSEC Security Industry Awards.

smarti® Guardeon wins Best Access Control Product Award at IFSEC!
After smarti® Electra winning last year, TAB Systems was pleasantly surprised and excited when the new smarti Guardeon unit was declared the Access Control Product of the Year at the IFSEC 2010 Security Industry Awards!
smarti® Guardeon is the new rugged high security unit that combines TAB Systems core biometric access control with a built in proximity card reader and a myriad of other features that will make it an easy choice for user across a wide range of categories.
The winners of the IFSEC Security Industry Awards were revealed on May 10th during an impressive dinner held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropolitan.
The ten winners, among them the smarti® Guardeon unit from TAB Systems, were presented with their awards, which recognize the people, products and technological advancements that have shaped the security industry over the past year.
James Kelly, chief executive of the British Security Industry Association, said: "These awards bring the security industry together for a very special celebration of achievements. The security industry prides itself on innovation and this year's IFSEC Security Industry Awards highlight just how committed the industry is to producing excellence."
Tomaz Bergant, President and CEO of TAB Systems, said: "It is an honor to win given the level of competition in what is considered to be the premier event of the security industry in Europe."
A look at IFSEC 2010
Despite troubles in air traffic due to a certain volcano, IFSEC 2010 was a successful exhibition for us. smarti was nominated for the IFSEC Security Industry Awards as Best New Access Control Product for the fifth time in a row.
After smarti® Electra winning it last year, we were pleasantly surprised and excited when the new smarti® Guardeon was declared a winner this year! It is an honor to win given the level of competition in what is considered to be the premier event of the security industry in Europe if not the world.
